Klang Indian SDA Group Shines in Klang Community through the Health Ministry

“This work that your group is doing is very noble and very good in helping the community,” the words of Y.B. Dr. Xavier, existing Head Councilor of Taman Sentosa area where the Adventist Community Health Center, Klang branch, conducted a full day mini health expo on 15th March 2009.

Through the initiative of Mrs. Florence Devany, Klang Indian SDA group Health Leader and the support of the Committee members of Taman Sentosa, the event was officially opened by the Councilor himself, Y.B. Dr. Xavier – attended by close to 130 individuals, coming from different walks of life.

Four volunteer nurses from Institut Jantung Negara (IJN) as well as the ACC team set aside their Sunday in order to serve the community. Free health screening was conducted including one-on-one health counseling. There was also a demonstration on healthy cooking, Hydrotherapy and not forgetting CHAROBICS.

Praise God for using people who are non SDA’s who fully supported this effort!
