Health Training for Klang Valley Churches

9 – 10 May 2009 – 30 participants representing Klang Valley churches attended certification training on Massage, Hydrotherapy and Charcoal Therapy conducted by the Adventist Community Health Centre (ACC) with the help from Jenny & Tay Song Ven of Ruismi Health Services.

The event started with a challenge on the need of more health promoters in Peninsular Malaysia – in union with PEM’s health goal: “Every Church A Community Health Centre.”

A lecture on the importance of water and a demonstration of its healing powers with simple treatments like hot foot bath, hot fomentation, and Russian bath were done by Jenny Tay assisted by Ellen Andrews and Rosalinda Solano, both from ACC.


Considered as the highlights of the event, the Charcoal therapy and Chair Massage were met with great anticipation by the participants. Each had a chance to practice on each other and mastered the techniques before receiving their individual certificates.
