Another Mini Health Expo in Taman Kem Klang

13 September 2009, The Adventist Community Health Centre in Klang under the leadership of Ms. Florence Devany instigated yet another community health expo in cooperation with the community’s political and welfare leaders.

“We would like to collaborate more with your group as we feel that this program is a very good way to help our community folks,” the words of Mr. Krisnasamy, Welfare & Development leader of Taman Kem.
Close to 150 people availed the free health services offered by the Adventist Community Health Centre (ACC) including Body fat analysis, BMI, Blood check, Blood Pressure, Health counselling, Healthy cooking, Hydrotherapy and CHAROBIX demo. A population of mostly Indian origin, the medical volunteers saw many clients who have high blood pressure. This common occurrence was due to the group’s poor sleeping habits, smoking, alcohol drinking, financial-related stress as well as unhealthy dietary habits. They were then taught simple ways of treating hypertension through exercise, change of sleeping and dietary habits as well as hydrotherapy.

“We want you to conduct another one of this kind of program very soon,” according to the community leader.
It was indeed a great privilege to be a channel of blessing to others!
