Showcase of Adventist Lifestyle during the Health Show in Kuala Lumpur

2nd May, Kuala Lumpur Malaysia – For two days, the lifestyle of
the Seventh Day Adventists in Kuala Lumpur was displayed during the
Health Show at the Exhibition Hall of Mid Valley Mega Mall, one of
the largest shopping mall in Malaysia on 30th April & 2 May
respectively. Comprising of 20 volunteers, they catered to almost
350 people who experienced first-hand the lifestyle and longevity
appraisal Tests, seen by health counsellors and witnessed live
demonstrations on healthy cooking, hydrotherapy, Massage, live food
exhibits, CHAROBIX demonstration, and effect of smoking and driving
under the influence of alcohol.
There was also a display of health and religious books as well as
children’s corner; not forgetting the distribution of health tracts
as well as the “Adventist Review” magazine to those who attended.
Most of the people who came expressed their willingness to visit
our 3 satellite churches-turned-community health centres in order to
attend their regular health activities such as cooking demo, health
camp, health lectures, etc.; many of them enrolled at the “Pathway
to Health” courses and some people enrolled to our “Breathe Free”
Classes which will start in July of this year.
Pastor Tan, the church Pastor of PJ Chinese church – who
co-hosted the event, was convinced that the experience was “the best
way to draw people to our church.”
