Dry Run For “No Butts, Breathe Free” Trainers Held at PEM Office

PEM Head Office, Kuchai Lama KL – in concurrence with PEM Health Department’s plan to support the Malaysian government of its “TakNak!” program in 2010, a training on how to conduct a Smoke Free Centre was held in Penang in March this year. Most of the trainees who attended this event plan to hold “smoke free centres” within the Klang Valley namely: Cheras, PJ, Klang, Pontian & Ipoh, which will hopefully kick off in August this year. In order to build the confidence of the trainers, another dry run was held at PEM Headquarter office in Kuchai Lama in KL last Saturday, in which 8 participants attended. “This has made me more confident to handle a group of smokers once we open the centre,” says one of the participants.
